â So, whatâs a compilation, and how does it work?
A compilation is an album featuring a collection of amazing tracks from different artists. In our case, itâs a monthly release showcasing 10 of our favorite alternative songs from recent months.
Hereâs how it works for you:
No Extra Licensing Hassle We donât need new licenses for your original single, and we wonât claim royalties from it. This is a non-exclusive distribution, where we donât claim any intellectual property rights from your songs
Your Song, Expanded
Weâll create a copy of your track using the same ISRC (sharing streams and algorithmic activity) but assign it to a different UPC (album product). The album will show in your âAppear Onâ section as part of this compilation, but wonât show in your regular Discography or official releases section.
Revenue and Promotion
Weâll only earn revenue from the album (UPC) version, so any activity coming from your original single is out of this collaboration. We will actively seek sync opportunities and promotional features like playlisting and blog placements to give your music extra visibility. These compilations are part of our official work, and we treat them as fresh releases from our label.
